Conflict Minerals Management Policy

What are conflict minerals regulations?

  1. As part of economic sanctions to eradicate social problems such as human rights violations in Africa (such as child labor exploitation and sexual assault), the four major minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold) mined in these regions have been designated as "conflict minerals." This involves a set of regulations prohibiting companies from using conflict minerals so as to prevent them from falling under the control of insurgent armies.

Conflict Minerals Management Policy

  1. Following the prohibition of utilizing the four conflict minerals mined from regions of conflict, Poongsan purchases these conflict minerals through the Conflict-Free Smelter program (CFS) of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC)
